One of the reasons we’re head-over-heels for jojoba oil—beyond its skin-loving magic—is its incredible stability. Unlike most plant oils, jojoba is actually a liquid wax, which means it’s the most resistant to oxidation and rancidity than all other oils.

Blending Other Ingredients with Jojoba Oil

When other ingredients, such as less stable oils or delicate essential oils are blended into jojoba, they’re cushioned and shielded by its natural antioxidants. This slows the breakdown of their active compounds and helps them stay fresher and more potent for much longer than they would on their own.

Shelf Life

A little mindful care goes a long way in keeping your products in peak condition. Stored in dark amber glass and kept away from heat, oxygen, and light, our neat organinc jojoba oil can often be extended up to 5+ years when stored and handled properly.

The shelf life of our jojoba oil blends, such as Wild Hazel Oil, can stay at their best for years—often well beyond the typical 24-month “best by” date. While citrus oils may naturally mellow in scent over time, their skin benefits remain intact for much longer when suspended in jojoba’s protective embrace.
